Structural Design checking of PC Extra-dosed Bridge at West Bank Bypass Project at Muzaffarabad-Naluchi, Pakistan
The major tasks of Dainichi in this project are to vetting the verification of the initial design, better solution to be required to recommend, checking of plans and construction stages and constructability including to review documents, calculations, design drawings prepared earlier. Initial detailed designs were recalculated using new models and prepared the recommendations for design amendments considering various factors specially wind loads and earthquake. Bridge specifications are:

Urban Transport Policy Study for Five Cities of Punjab Province, Pakistan
It is a World Bank funded project under the Government of Planning and Development Department of Punjab. This study has two objectives: (i) identifying the major problems faced by the Province and its five large cities in the provision of cost-efficient and equitable urban transport services, and (ii) recommending policy, institutional and regulatory reforms required for improving delivery of urban transport services in Punjab cities, especially in these five cities. The study has addressed the key issues related to planning, investments, and management for providing main urban transport services, such as, public transport, urban roads, and traffic management. It also focused to land use and air quality management system. The major tasks were carried out for the following issues;

Preparing the Highlands Highway Rehabilitation Project (ADB TA:Papua New Guinea)
The objective of the project is to undertake is to assist the Department of Works Government of PNG in preparation of the Highlands Highway (Southern Highlands and Enga Provinces Network: Road links 350km) Rehabilitation Project to support economic growth through increased exports and integration of the Highlands Region. The PPTA is also identify the need for and scope of capacity building of the road sector institutions at the state level for efficient and sustainable management of the road assets.
Scope of works: (a) Detailed feasibility study including the project rationale and scope, technical and economic appraisal, assessment of environmental, social impacts, (b) Project implementation arrangements including cost estimation and financing plan, a program of financing, structural, and institutional development.

Facilitation of Transport Cooperation among Central Asia Regional Economic
Cooperation Countries (Phase I) (ADB TA: Kyrgyzstan)
The objective of the project is to undertake (or update) pre-feasibility
studies on developing and improving three regional transport corridors
in the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) countries in
order to facilitate economic growth and regional cooperation. CAREC consists
of Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, People's Republic of China (PRC), Kazakhstan,
Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan
The proposed three regional corridors and address are followings;
Bishkek -Tourgart - Kashi (L= 604 km) linking Kyrgyzstan and China
Angren-Gulistan (L= 150 km) in Uzbekistan, and
Oybek-Pungan road (L= 220 km) in Tajikistan
Bishkek -Tourgart - Kashi road is noted famous for its "Silk Road"

Earthquake and Tsunami Emergency Support Project (ADB TA:Indonesia)
Indonesia has been severely affected by the earthquake and
tsunami. The Government has requested the Asian Development
Bank (ADB) to rehabilitate and reconstruct Banda Aceh-Sigli-Lhokseumawe-Bts
Sumat road (Aceh east coast road) Banda Aceh-Krueng Raya road,
and Banda Aceh urban roads. The total road length is 597 km
of which 115 km was reported to be heavily destroyed and 393
km is slightly damaged. 7 subprojects comprising about 115
km of roads and 550 meter total length of bridges in the Province
of Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam.

DAINICHI supports under ADB assisted TA in the preparation
of the program to strengthen enforcement strategies and framework
of urban air quality management in Indonesia, particularly

include activities of review policy and regulatory framework,
strengthen institutional capacity, develop implementation
strategies, and prepare investment plan to improve infrastructure

Balochistan Road Development Sector Project- Design &
Construction Supervision (Provincial Highways & Rural
Access Roads) (ADB Loan: Pakistan)
ADB assisted consulting services for construction supervision
and detailed design under Balochistan Road Sector Development
project, involving improvement of about 462 km provincial
highways and about 583 km of rural access roads. Six roads
of total length 358 km are intended to conduct detailed construction
supervision and fourteen roads of total length 687 km are
required to undertake detailed survey, design and construction
supervision.

road network to facilitate economic recovery and reduce poverty;

Detailed engineering design and construction supervision of
the urgent bridges for rural development (JBIC ODA- Philippines)
JBIC assisted project for the detailed engineering design
and construction supervision of the bridges located nationwide.
Approximate total number of bridges and lengths are 201 nos.
and 8,560m, respectively. The services also undertake the
assistance of the executing agency in bidding, environmental
monitoring including compliance with the environmental compliance
certificate (ECC) conditionalities, assistance to DPWH for
preparatory works of land acquisition, and assistance to DPWH
for the coordination with the local government concerned.

Interchange and EDSA/Roosevelt Avenue Interchange (JBIC Loan-
Philippines)
JBIC assisted project consisting of planning, designing, and
implementing essential infrastructures to alleviate critical
traffic conditions of EDSA/North Avenue-West Avenue. Critical
traffic situation in the overloaded EDSA has lessened by adding
flyover and interchanges. Interchanges are constructed at
major intersection along EDSA due to EDSA LRT line. Established
well-built and maintained road facilities to ensure efficient
flow of traffic, people, goods, and services between Manila
and major production centers and consumption areas.

This is JBIC assisted loan project for detailed design of
Kalayaan flyover connecting between Buendia avenue and Kalayaan
avenue over passing EDSA. The bridge was designed for a rigid
frame type PC hollow slab with bored pile foundation comprising
of 1.8km long flyover and 4 lanes carriageways.

Grenada
DAINICHI dealt with the feasibility study that covers Rehabilitation
and Improvement of 7 roads in Grenada with total length of
61.8 km. Major objectives of the project are evaluation of
the people activities impact of investments in roads as an
input to policy decisions and project design. The project
also provides a set of recommendations such as a quick method
for implementation of the construction works, measure against
environmental disasters, and new maintenance management technology
of road and bridge. |

JTCA assisted project is to build Thailand's capacity to reduce
greenhouse gases and promote involvement in the CDM in the
transportation sector by implementing pilot studies. This

transfer exercise. The purpose is to assist stakeholders in
the Thai transportation sector to identify and evaluate effective
greenhouse gas emission reduction projects, and to build their

Cooperation for the improvement of urban transportation and
air quality in Dhaka City, and (c) to assess the feasibility
of introducing CNG to automobiles in the short and long term.
